World Earth Day is celebrated annually by the people all across the world on 22nd of April in order to increase the awareness among people about the environment safety as well as to demonstrate the environmental protection measures. The very first event for Earth Day, which was held in America nearly five decades ago, in the year 1970 following a devastating oil spill, is credited as the beginning of the modern environmental movement. This year the theme of World Earth Day is "Environmental and Climate Literacy".
