Envisioning to provide the lowest rates in the airfare and travelling services in the country, Ticket 1 that has 20 branches in the Philippines now is expected to be the country's market leader in the travel and tour industry with 13 more branches opening before the year ends.
Ticket 1 Managing Director Jonathan Wee made the announcement after their series of organizational culture and Work Attitude Values Enhancement Training held in Kuala Lumpur, Cebu and Zamboanga.
The series of training provided an intensive training to its employees to develop their leadership and working attitude competencies to prepare the company to be the Philippine's market leader in the travel and tour industry.
"We recognize the value of our people and as we envision to make Ticket 1, the market leader in the Philippines, then it should all start with our employees," Wee said.
Ticket 1 earlier engaged the services of Notacor Training Group, a business management and training consultancy based in the Southern Philippines to provide the training series to Ticket 1 employees to support the company to be the country's market leader.
In 2012, Ticket 1 started with a handful of ticketing branches for serving customers in the Southern Philippines. But, eventually it expanded to other cities reaching more than 20 branches in five years.
The Philippines is one of the fastest growing economies of Asia and there has been a growing demand for Filipinos to travel within and outside the country.
While the Philippine aviation is a growing industry, many of the Philippine airports need to be rehabilitated and there has been a call from private aviation stakeholders for government to fast track the repair and expansion of airport runways.
The air travel industry is growing at rate of 5% and the international flight industry needs 38,000 new aircrafts valued at USD 5.6 trillion. Southeast Asia alone will need 3,750 new airplanes valued at $ 550 billion.
