Lee Min Ho broke the hearts of millions of fans when he announced his military enlistment plans. It was confirmed that the actor would begin his mandatory military service on May 12 as a public service worker at the Gangnam District Office in Seoul. The Heirs star will be beginning his service quietly sans fans and media.
With just three days left for his enlistment, the actor seems to have completed his final commercial for a bottled cold brew coffee line, Georgia Gotica Master's Latte, from Coca-Cola. The images released by the brand had the actor clad in a deep blue shirt and contrastingly bright white pants, making it a perfect click.
Meanwhile, in the May issue of @star1 magazine, Lee shared his thoughts on the military enlistment and more. He told the publication: "I thought I would be totally cool with it and I thought it would be nothing. But I do feel a bit sad, too. It's not about the fact that I have to enlist that makes me sad, but the fact that I'm at the end of my 20s."
The 29-year old actor is, in fact, taking up the enlistment late, but he agrees that delaying the service has brought him fame. He said: "If I'd gone early, I wouldn't have been cast in 'Boys Over Flowers' and my 20s probably wouldn't have been as happy. I personally think that going later was a good choice for me."
"I've received all the expressions of regret and support from the fans. I hope I can give you 'healing' after I come back fit and healthy," he concluded.
Lee Min Ho completed 10 years in the industry recently. Well, his popularity needs no introduction as he is rightly called as "the Ryan Gosling of Korea." He has a great fan following in China, Japan, US, and many other countries. Apart from that, he has also represented a number of big brands like Korean Air, Ferrero Rocher chocolates, Dunkin' Donuts, Romanson watches and Etude House.
The actor is currently in an on and off relationship with actress Suzy Bae.
