Korean boy band Monsta X celebrated their second anniversary by sending messages to one another.
Monsta X, composed of Shownu, Kihyun, Minhyuk, Jooheon, Wonho, I.M and Hyungwon, made their debut in the K-pop industry by releasing their first album "Trespass" on May 14, 2015.
The group held an online broadcast on Naver V Live to celebrate the milestone. In a message relay, each member sent his message to other members.
Hyungwon told Wonho: "First we haven't talked much due to busy schedules over the past two years. You're working so hard."
"You always try to make us a better boy band. As an older member, you're doing your best to show an example. I hope you can continue to do your best," Hyungwon added.
In his message to leader Shownu, Wonho said, "I know you shoulder a burden as our leader. I always think I need to be the one that you can lean on. But it's easier said than done. Because you're so mature and the leader, I sometimes complain to you. If you have difficulties or face hardships, I want to share you pain, sadness and happiness."
"Thank you for creating a pleasant atmosphere," Shownu said in his message to Minhyuk. "He's one of the members who is more passionate than me. I hope you can keep it up. I will do my best. Let's stay happy together, enjoy delicious things together, and sometimes argue together if we don't agree."
To Kihyun, Minhyuk said, "Thank you for being my friend for the past two years. When we were hungry, you cooked like a chef. When we lost directions, you were the navigator. When we were sick, you took care of us like a doctor. I know how hard it is. Please don't be exhausted and keep up the great job."
"I think you're so cute. I don't do anything special as an older member," Kihyun said in his message to I.M. "I'm glad you're gaining energy as a younger member. I remember we performed together as a unit. Thank you for cheering up the team as the youngest member."
I.M told Jooheon, "Since we're rappers, we support each other. And he gives good advice to me. So I like to be with you."
"We've been through so many things and talked about many things. You also tried to understand me," Jooheon told Hyungwon. "You've shown an example as an older brother. Thank you for treating me like a friend."
Monsta X will hold their first world tour starting in June.
