Manchester City make a trip to Watford on the final matchday of 2016/17 Premier League with a good chance to end the season with a Champions League berth on Sunday.
The Sky Blues, who are sitting on the third spot with 75 points, two clear of fourth-placed Liverpool and three ahead of fifth-placed Arsenal, need just a point to secure a top-four finish, which guarantees them a place in the continental competition next season. If they manage a win, they will be assured of a third-place finish, which means City will be in the group stages of Champions League.
On the other hand, Watford, who are reeling at the 16th spot, will want to end their five-match losing streak and finish the season on a high before coach Walter Mazzarri steps down.
Guardiola will be without long-term absentees Claudio Bravo, Ilkay Gundogan and Fabian Delph. However, the side has enough firepower to earn a big win today.
City are likely to head into the match with the same XI that decimated West Bromwich Albion 3-1 on 17 May. Having crushed Watford 2-1 in their early-season meeting at home in December, there is very little that cannot go their way today.
On the other hand, Watford ended their four-match goal drought on Tuesday at Stamford Bridge but hosts Chelsea were too good for them, as Mazzari's side was beaten 4-3. It will be an uphill task for the hosts today and it looks even their best might not be enough to stop Guardiola's men from walking away with three points.
