Google has just launched Chrome Enterprise Bundle and it makes it far easier for the IT admins to manage their Chrome browsers in business. This latest product by Google gives them one single installer for the Chrome browser, the Chrome Legacy Browser Support extension for running the occasional ActiveX widget and a number of administrative policy templates.
Google's browser now also offers official support for the Citrix's XenApp virtualization platform and Windows Server with Terminal services, following the launch of Chrome 58. Now, Chrome 58 also supports GPU acceleration in Citrix environments as well as the roaming profiles and Windows Server auto-detection. The tech giant is planning to add additional tools to the Bundle over time.
With this amazing upgrade, it will now become much easier for the IT admins to deploy Chrome in their offices and organizations. Several of them, especially the large enterprises, still don't have the official IT support for Chrome instead, Internet Explorer (or Edge, if those organizations already updated to Windows 10) is the standard.
However, Google today informed that the enterprises using Chrome have doubled in number over the last two years, although, TechChrunch reported that a company spokesperson declined to give any specific number.
"We account for enterprise users based on attributes of their computer configuration, such as if the machine is joined to an active directory domain and if Chrome is being managed via admin-configured and/or deployed policies," said the company.
