AOA's Yuna confirmed that she'll soon be appearing for her first TV drama.
According to Soompi, Yuna's agency, FNC Entertainment announced on May 24 that she'll be casting in a cable channel Drama title "Single Wife."
The Wednesday-Thursday drama tells the tale of a woman who wishes to divorce her husband, and get remarried with a second generation chaebol. The drama will reportedly be a romantic comedy showing how her dream of marrying a chaebol finally comes true. However, she very soon finds out that her divorce with her former husband has not been fully processed and ends up living a dual life with two husbands.
The lead character of the drama will be played by actress Uhm Hyun Kyung and the male lead actors include Sung Hyuk and Kwak Hee Sung. Yuna will be playing the role of Kwak Hee Sung's younger sister.
Yuna will be playing the role of Hwang Hyo Rim. She will be the feisty little sister of second generation chaebol Hwang Jae Min played by Kwak Hee Sung. It appears to be the spoilt child of the family but in reality, she is very cleaver and calculative having high ambitions in life.
In fact, she started out as the youngest employee at the design department of her family's company.
Previously, Yuna acted on various web dramas but this is the first time she is to appear on TV. Her new project 'Single Wife' is set to air on Drama Max which is set to air on August 23.
Yuna has previously portrayed her acting skills in various web dramas such as "Prince of Prince," "Hot and Sweet," and "My Old Friend."
The upcoming romantic comedy drama "Single Wife" is all set to premiere on August 23 at 9 p.m. KST.
