Intel has just unveiled the Compute Card, a PC whose build is entirely just the size of a credit card. At the Computex event in Taipei late last week, Intel announced that it is looking into partnerships with global electronic brands who can use this product.
The Compute Card was revealed by Intel to be used by partners like Sharp, Seneca, Foxconn, and LG, among many others. For Sharp, this tiny PC will be used in its digital signage and billboards, while for Seneca and Foxconn, they will use it to power up mini PCs. LG, on the other hand, is planning to embed the Compute Card in its monitors to make them into all-in-one PC while Nexdock might use it with a touchscreen device.
According to Intel, its other partners like Dell, HP, and Lenovo are not ready yet to reveal their products but there is certainly one. The chip manufacturer teased that tablets and interactive whiteboards will be powered up by the technology. Intel's new innovation has been seen many as the future of pocket PCs.
Meanwhile, the Compute Card will be available in four variants starting this August. Below are the specifications of these variants:
