The upcoming Monday-Tuesday tvN drama, 'Bride of the Water God' released its first teaser video and character details. The illustrated version of the main characters of drama is featured on the said teaser, as the drama is reportedly a spin-off of the original manwha having the same name.
The illustrations smoothly changes into Nam Joo Hyuk and Shin Se Kyung intently staring at each other. According to Soompi, there is also a table read video, in the said video the actors get a chance to reveal more about their characters. Nam Joo Hyuk revealed about his character Ha Baek, saying, "He's cold, chic, and always filled with confidence."
Shin Se Kyung, too revealed about her role of So Ah, saying, "So Ah is the director of a neuropsychiatry department in a hospital and is also a character with a trauma. She is set to have a sweet romance with the god Ha Baek."
Apart from them, Gong Myung, f(x)'s Krystal, and Im Joo Hwan also are a part of the main cast of the drama.
Reportedly, in the drama, Gong Myung is to play the free-spirited god Bi Ryum who is known to maintain the heavens. On the other hand, Krystal plays the role of a goddess who purifies water and Im Joo Hwan plays the role of a kind and honest character shrouded in mystery.
The story of the tvN's new drama is all set in a fantasy world. According to the reports, the story is of a village where the inhabitants sacrifice young women to water God because the village has been plagued by many years of drought.
One of the young women sacrificed becomes his bride, and complications start. They'll reportedly try to keep the characters original and rework on the setting mainly to a modern one; it is to be set in Seoul.
A source previously confirmed Soompi that the said drama is scheduled to air in mid-July following 'Circle.'
