Wonder Woman cast its spell on moviegoers as it has topped the Korean box office for six straight days.
The superhero movie has grossed US$9.7 million and sold 1.34 million tickets to date since its release in Korea on May 31.
Starring Gal Gadot in the title role, Wonder Woman has topped the Korean box office for six straight days with a revenue share of 36 percent, according to data from the Korean Film Council.
Of the $9.7 million, Wonder Woman earned $6.42 million during the weekend from June to 4.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, another Hollywood film that stars Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, placed second in the June 5 daily Korean box office and has earned $18.64 million with 2.43 million in total admissions since it was released on May 24.
In the weekend box office in Korea covering June 2 to 4, Pirates grossed $3.74 million to place second followed by the Korean film Warriors of the Dawn, which earned $2.75 million for a total of $4 million so far.
The documentary film Our President about the late Korean president Roh Moo-hyun placed fourth with $2.2 million and with a total haul of $8 million since May 25.
In fifth place with $1.08 million is the Hollywood film Get Out, which has so far earned $14.64 million since its release in Korea on May 14.
