It still seems a bit unreal that the most popular K-drama couple have actually decided to get married to each other. The initial moment of disbelief, shock led to exhilarations as fans learned Song Hye-kyo and Song Joong-ki would really tie the knot later this year. However, nothing beats the actual moment when Song Joong-ki proposed to his lady love.
As noted by website Koreaboo, Song Hye-kyo reportedly cried after Song Joong-ki proposed to her in Japan, last winter. This was revealed by a Japanese witness named Yuri. "Truthfully, a friend told me that [Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo] and staff members came to where she was working last winter," Yuri said.
The witness added that after Song Joong-ki popped the question to her, Song hye-kyo was so overwhelmed by happiness that she started crying. "Song Hye Kyo was crying when [Song Joong Ki] did his event," Yuri said. However, the witness wasn't sure whether Joong-ki offered her a ring on that day. "I'm not sure if he gave her the ring that day," the Japanese witness said.
This reveals two things. First that Song Joong-ki is a romantic at heart and second, Song Hye-kyo loves her man a lot. After all, it is not for nothing that they became the best K-drama couple in the Hallyu world. Their deep love for each other enhanced their performances in 'Descendants of the Sun.'
On July 5, Dispatch published a report with numerous exclusive photos of the couple's first date in Tokyo. In one particular photo, Song joong-ki is seen bowing his head and extending his hand towards Song Hye-kyo, which she is seen accepting. This more or less adds up to what the Japanese witness has said. Dispatch had also revealed that the couple were already in a serious relationship and were looking at marriage rather than just dating.
Song Hye-kyo and Song Joong-ki have always looked right for each other and this story gives a small peek into the deep love that the couple share between them. It may be hoped that they remain like this, always.
The couple have their wedding date set for October 31, this year.
