Special forces clear anti-G20 protests in Hamburg

Special forces were deployed in Hamburg to control protests against the G20 summit. For the second day in a row, anti-capitalist protesters caused chaos in the north German city torching vehicles, looting supermarkets, building barricades and attacking police. Special forces stormed the Schanzenviertel district around midnight and chased members of the radical Black Bloc trying to escape across scaffolding. Around 200 police officers were injured during the two-day clashes. The G20 summit concludes on Saturday, allowing Hamburg to clear up the chaos.
