Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo's wedding venue has been revealed. The couple will be tying the knot at South Korea's Shilla Hotel.
A source from Blossom Entertainment confirmed the details. The insider said: "Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo have confirmed to hold their wedding at Shilla Hotel on October 31."
The duo shot to fame after starring in Descendants of the Sun. In the hit drama, Joong Ki plays the lead role as Captain Yoo Shi Jin, and Hye Kyo reprises the role of doctor named Kang Mo-Yeon.
Previously, many reports were making rounds that Joong Ki and Hye Kyo might host their upcoming wedding at Taebaek in Gangwon Province. This is the place where the drama was shot.
Just like fans, Joong Ki had admitted he is very excited to marry Hye Kyo. During an appearance on JTBC's Newsroom, he gushed about his wife-to-be and discussed his new film Battleship Island. He said: "Since I have two big events happening this year, I think I'm spending the best summer so far. My movie has already been released, and the other event is my wedding."
Meanwhile, during an interview, the Running Man star's father talked about their wedding. He said, as quoted by Soompi: "[Song Joong Ki] is at the best age to get married so I'm glad he's engaged. As parents, we've decided to respect our son's decision. People were saying I was against their marriage, but that's a misunderstanding."
He added: "Now that my son will be having a stable family after marriage, I hope he works even harder to become an actor who can also be responsible for his household. I think my son will be able to achieve that."
