Korean boy band Big Bang member Taeyang will be coming back this month with a new solo album.
YG Entertainment, Big Bang's agency, unveiled a poster of Taeyang's comeback, showing that his new album titled "White Night" will be released on August 16.
This will be his new solo album in three years and two months since releasing the album "Rise" in June 2014 that featured the song "Eyes, Nose, Lips."
"White Night," the agency said, will be a full album and not just a single album, according to the YG blog.
Taeyang recently performed at his concert in Japan and talked about his upcoming album.
"I wanted an album that I could be satisfied in. I wanted others to like it too, and that's why it took so long. I want to warm up your hearts with my music just like the morning sun," he said. The music videos for the album were filmed in Los Angeles.
In July, it was revealed that Taeyang met with staff to discuss the concept of the music video.
"Taeyang participated in all the meetings so far. He takes it seriously and pays attention to details. He is also very passionate and makes a lot of suggestions too. You can really see why he has become a top star," one staff member told OSEN news.
The staff member added that the new music video will be different.
"I can't give you any information about the title song or the music video yet. But, the director of the music video is someone who worked with Taeyang for the first time, and the music video will have a totally different style from his past music videos. The song is a great song, catchy yet well-made," the staff said.
Taeyang will hold concerts at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on August 26 and 27.
He debuted as member of Big Bang in 2006 and became the first member of the group to have a solo album.
In 2008, he released his first solo album "Hot" containing the song "Only Look at Me." His follow-up solo album "Solar" was released in 2010 that featured the title track "I Need a Girl."
