The latest brand reputation rankings for Korean boy bands have been revealed.
For the month of August, the Korean Institute for Corporate Reputation said it analyzed 106.09 million pieces of big data from July 11 to August 12 based on communication, media, participation and community indices.
EXO, BTS and NU'EST garnered the first three places. EXO had a total score of 17.18 million followed by BTS with 11.15 million.
Fans were surprised when NU'EST jumped from 16th place in July to third place in August. The boy band had a total score of 9.87 million in the latest results, up by 289.19 percent from last month.
"According to the statistics, EXO has come in at first place for boy group brand reputation rankings. EXO released their fourth studio album 'The War' in July and sold approximately 960,000 copies," the institute said,Soompi reported. "Some of their other achievements include topping iTunes charts in 42 countries, topping Billboard's World Album Charts for two weeks, topping the Apple Music album charts in 19 countries, topping the United World Charts, and topping Xiami Music's K-pop charts. They also came in at first place 11 times on various music shows."
