Singapore: 56-year-old man causes car accident on Scotts Road; taken unconscious to hospital

The accident caused congestion from Paterson Hill and Tanglin Road to Scotts Road in Singapore.

A 56-year-old man, who was believed to have caused a car accident after suffering a heart attack while driving outside Royal Plaza on Scotts, Singapore on Friday, is still admitted in the hospital, the police said on Saturday.

The police told The Straits Times that the man was taken unconscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital after an accident involving two cars took place at around 9:30 pm along Scotts Road.

A Facebook user who goes by the name Supper Jimmy posted images that showed ambulances and police cars at the scene. Some images also showed blood on the ground as bystanders gathered.

According to Supper Jimmy, the accident caused congestion from Paterson Hill and Tanglin Road to Scotts Road.

The Land Transport Authority said in a tweet at 10 pm that there was an accident on Scotts Road, towards Claymore Hill, after Orchard Road. The police said investigations are still going on.
