New Korean idol group Wanna One grabbed the top spot as the most talked about singer for the month of August.
The Korean Institute for Corporate Reputation released the latest brand reputation rankings for Korean singers by analyzing 116.22 million pieces of big data from July 25 to August 26 based on media, community, participation and communication values.
The 11-member Wanna One topped the latest results with a score of 17.65 million while second placer BTS got 6.91 million or a difference of 10.7 million.
Third place went to Red Velvet with 6.23 million.
In keyword analysis, the words "cute," "hot" and "thankful" ranked high with regard to association with the Wanna One brand.
All 11 members of Wanna One earlier swept the brand reputation rankings for individual boy band members.
The boys have been experiencing success since their debut early this month. Their debut album "To Be One" topped music charts.
On August 26, they won their tenth TV music show trophy with song "Energetic" on "Music Core."
They were credited for bringing in high ratings for TV shows that they have appeared in including "Saturday Night Live Korea."
