Police arrest 79 suspects after raid at massage and entertainment outlets in Singapore

The police said that the investigations are going in this regard.

Singapore police said on Tuesday that they have arrested 34 men and 45 women during a two-day enforcement operation conducted from Aug 24 to Aug 25. According to reports, the suspects, aged between 18 and 68, were arrested a range of offences including gambling and employment-related offences.

In a press release, the authorities saidthat the massage establishments and public entertainment outlets in Chinatown, Tanjong Pagar, Little India, Jalan Besar and Bendemeer were checked by the Central Police Division officers.

Apart from these, the police also added that 10 computers and cash amounting to S$3,511 were seized from a raid in an internet casino, located along Kitchener Road.

Commander of Central Police Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police Arthur Law said the police will continue to seize down on corrupt and criminal activities. "Those found engaging in illicit activities will be dealt with sternly in accordance to the law," he told Channel NewsAsia.

The police said that the investigations are going in this regard.
