Microsoft has officially announced the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update release date coming on 16 October. This means the Redmond, Washington-based cloud software giant is now in the final development phase for the next software update.
At the IFA 2017 event in Berlin, Microsoft vice president of Windows and Devices group Terry Meyerson has noted that the confirmed initial date can be changed anytime. In the meantime, some features of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update have already been confirmed ready for release next month.

Here are some of the most exciting features for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update:
Story Remix
Microsoft has been working on Story Remix for a long time, an app that will replace Windows Movie Maker. The newcomer supports any cloud storage as part of the workflow either on Android, iOS or Windows.
Mixed Reality support
The support for virtual reality headsets could be the biggest new feature arriving with Fall Creators Update. Called Mixed Reality, Microsoft has already named support for headsets from OEMs Dell, HP, Lenovo and Acer.
As hyped, headsets from these brands will not require external tracking boxes as it will function using an HDMI or USB cable plugged into a PC.
OneDrive Files On-Demand
This new feature loads all selected data in the cloud. What is new, however, is that it is essentially useful when users want to pull out certain files from OneDrive using only with the required data to download them.
