Manchester United should look to sign Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane and Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, says Louis Saha.

Jose Mourinho enjoyed another successful window at Manchester United, spending £135million on Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof.

The Red Devils sit top of the Premier League, undefeated in their opening four games of the season.

But former United striker Saha believes Mourinho is a couple of players short from the perfect squad according to the Dailystar.

Speaking to BetStars, Saha said that he reckons Mourinho would benefit from having Real Madrid centre-back Varane and Borussia Dortmund striker Aubameyang.

"I would go for Raphael Varane," Saha told BetStars, as reported by the Express.

"Varane is a great defender and I think he would bring something special to the defence.

"And Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, he's very quick and he's got the eye for the ball all the time. He's really impressed me in the last few years.

"And he's still a player you feel is still stepping up. He really wants to improve. I think he would be a good addition."

Saha also said that he believed United would tip Everton at home this weekend to win 2-1.

United at this point, are top of the table, but will miss their star-man-in-midfield and Saha's countryman Paul Pogba due to a hamstring problem that sees him out for at least six weeks.

Pogba, the £89m world record buy for Manchester United last season, had an indifferent first year at Old Trafford that saw United finish sixth in the league table, even though they ended up with the EFL Cup and the Europa League.

The France midfielder had been in inspired form this season, chipping in with goals and assists during the first month of the new season.

He had been rewarded with the captaincy as United made a comeback to the Champions League against Basel at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, but the night ended badly for him when he had to be subbed in the 18th minute after suffering a hamstring injury.
