The said institution is slated to open later in this fiscal year as part of the initiatives to invest in its people, says Teo at the opening of this year's Singapore International Cyber Week. California-based cybersecurity company FireEye is the first partner to provide training on malware analysis and incident response.

In an official statement on Tuesday, FireEye takes pride of training malware analysts and incident responders of government agencies and businesses around the world.

"We are proud to build the capabilities of Singapore's cybersecurity professionals who serve on the front lines and help protect Singapore and its critical information infrastructure from attackers," states chief executive Kevin Mandia.

The Cybersecurity Bill of Singapore has recently been announced to be introduced in the parliament in 2018. According to Mister of Communications and Information Yaacob Ibrahim, they presented the bill to the public for consultation apart from stakeholders and critical infrastructure owners.
