Asim Warsi, Samsung India's senior vice president for Mobile Business, says the company wants to deliver innovations to its consumers to improve their lives, stressing the role of Bixby to serve them accordingly.

"At Samsung, we listen to our consumers and bring in meaningful innovations that help make their lives better," says Warsi in a statement. "With Bixby, the phone adapts to you and not the other way around."

Warsi adds that Bixby Voice is locally optimised by customising it to recognise the country's various native accents.

"It's a smarter way to use your phone and get more done. Keeping in mind the diversity of Indian accents and our commitment to 'Make for India', Bixby has been optimized to understand Indian accents."

In August, Samsung launched the voice assistant in 200 countries. It was first released in South Korea and in the US later. The first two countries became the testing ground of Bixby Voice wherein English and Korean are the only two languages it can understand.
