WhatsApp 2.17.364 has just been rolled out worldwide across all platforms. The latest version comes with a new set of emojis.
WhatsApp's newest update arrived on Wednesday with emoji designs and fonts that are inspired with iOS's. The Facebook-owned company uses a universal approach on its sets of emojis to avoid confusion among users from different platforms such as iOS, Android, the web, desktop, BlackBerry and Symbian.

Apart from the new sets of emojis, WhatsApp 2.17.364 also allows users to post text-only updates to a status which will be available for 24 hours. Users have the option to tweak background colour and font style to suit one's liking. For phones running Android 8.0 Oreo, users will be able to tap back when in video call without killing it to enable the Picture-in-Picture mode.
WhatsApp 2.17.364 version beta can be downloaded by joining the Google Play Store beta program or getting it from APK Mirror. Make sure the WhatsApp Messenger app is currently on beta 2.17.364.
In another news, WhatsApp has been discovered one of the most blacklisted applications on Android and iOS in the enterprise community, security firm Appthority revealed in a report on Tuesday.
One of the multiple reasons why companies block mobile applications is if they found security holes and vulnerabilities in them that may be the cause of the leak, especially of confidential information. On top of that, the lack of secure communication and encryption, links to threat actors or countries known for espionage and compliance hurdles can also be valid reasons.
WhatsApp has been banned in 12 countries including China, Brazil, Ethiopia and Uganda. It is also the second most banned application in the world next to Facebook, according to non-governmental organisation Freedom House.
