The 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) announced the nominees for 2017's show that will broadcast live from The SSE Arena in Wembley, London in the United Kingdom, on November 12.
Taylor Swift got the most nominations with five, including Best Artist and Best Video for "Look What You Made Me Do."
She is followed by Shawn Mendes with five nods while Ed Sheeran and Kendrick Lamar received four.
The Best Artist award this year replaced the Best Male and Best Female awards handed out in previous years.
Swift is nominated in the category along with Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, Miley Cyrus and Shawn Mendes.
Singapore's The Sam Willows is nominated for Best Southeast Asia Act together with Isyana Sarasvati of Indonesia, Faizal Tahir of Malaysia, James Reid of Philippines, Slot Machine of Thailand, Dam Vinh Hung of Vietnam and Palitchoke Ayanaputra of Thailand (Social Wildcard Winner).
The five artists nominated for Best Korea Act are Highlight, Mamamoo, Wanna One, Seventeen and GFriend.
For the Best Mainland China/Hong Kong/Taiwan Act, the nominees are Wang Sulong, Pakho Chau, Huo Zun, He Jie and Bii.
Bagging the nominations for Best Japan Act are BABYMETAL, KOHH, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Rekishi and Wednesday Campanella.
