BTS took away the Music Bank trophy—second in a row—with their recent release DNA. This is BTS' seventh music trophy overall. Though the Music Bank episode will not be broadcasted due to Chuseok holiday, KBS has announced BTS topped the chart with 8876 points followed by IU's Autumn Morning with 6376 points.
BTS' comeback mini album 'Love Yourself: Her' has been breaking the charts ever since the release. The colourful and vibrant DNA MV has set the internet on fire, quite literally. Within hours after its release, the MV had 20 million hits on Youtube. The title track and its visuals have been appreciated by fans and critics alike for the vibrant and youthful theme.
It is just not the MV alone, the album, 'Love Yourself Her,' also created records globally. The album topped the iTunes album charts of more than 73 countries, including the U.S, U.K, Canada, and of course, Australia and New Zealand.
Billiboard described the album as a dual exploration of the group's electro-pop and hip-hop leanings, fronted by the lead single 'DNA.' BTS also collaborated with American artist The Chainsmokers for one of its track 'Best of Me' from the album. BTS' rappers—Rap Monster, Suga, and J-Hope—along with The Chainsmokers' Andrew Taggart recorded this energetic track in a typical Chainsmokers style.
