South Korean singer and actor Lee Seung-gi will be discharged from active military duty on October 31, this year. He has revealed that being in the military has transformed him as a person.
As noted by website Soompi and Allkpop, Le Seung-gi recently posed for a pictorial with army magazine 'HIM Monthly.' It is here he talked about his life pre-military duty and after he joined in the army.

Lee Seung-gi was asked whether military duty had changed him as a person. He responded by saying, "Lee Seung-gi before the army and Lee Seung-gi after the army are totally different. Firstly, I've matured a lot. I used to feel pressured by a lot of things before fulfilling my military duties. Now, I'm proud that I've become more confident."
Lee Seung-gi added that he had experienced growth as a human being and elaborated on this by saying, "Being in the special forces has really broken a lot of the limitations I thought I had. Thoughts like 'We've done this much, so we should take a break now' were ones that I had to ignore and overcome in my training. They taught me how to keep going, no matter how difficult a situation can get. Now, I say to myself, 'If I work as hard as I do now, I'll be able to do whatever gets thrown my way.' It's trained me to have a stronger mindset."
The question on every fan's mind is what the "Return" singer will do once he is discharged from the military. To this, he replied, "I hope to continue to be active in multiple fields and release albums, act, and appear in variety shows. But I think it's too soon to be making decisions as I haven't been discharged yet. My priority is to finish my military service. However, I do want to express my gratitude for all of the offers that have come in through my agency as my discharge date approaches."
However, things are not going to be the same for the 'Brilliant Legacy' actor as he returns to live like a civilian because of the transformative experience in the military. "To be honest, there's one thing I'm worried about. I'm so used to life in the army that it's hard for me to talk like a civilian. When I greet people, I find my hand automatically rising into a salute. I feel like it's going to be hard to stop talking like a soldier, even after I leave. But I still have time before I go, so that will be something I'll be thinking about till then," he said.
Whichever project Lee Seung-gi chooses after his discharge from army duty, we welcome him back and wish him all the very best for his future.
