Google on Tuesday, October 17 released a couple of performance updates and tweaks on a couple of its apps, tools and services, while major updates have been rolled out to the Google search app, Google Phone and Google Camera.
Google Search App
The beta version of the Google search app is getting a feed update on the homepage, optimising it to provide users up-to-date topics relevant to them. Users have the option to better tailor sports highlights, top news, new music, engaging videos, must-read stories and more.
The update also allows users to follow sports teams, bands, musicians, celebrities, TV shows, among others right from the search results. Apart from that, searching for topics on your feed becomes easier through the subject header at the top of each card. Download the Google search app update via APK Mirror.
Google Phone
If you are using the Google Duo video calling, you can directly dial a friend or family's number directly from the call log, search or contacts card on your Google Phone. By doing so, you are upgrading your voice call to a video call.
For users in Canada under Rogers, users can perform the Share & Call and Post-call Message features on the app. The update also comes with bug fixes and performance enhancements. Download the Google Phone update via APK Mirror.
Google Camera
The Google Camera app for Pixel and Nexus devices has received quite a few enhancements and bug fixes. While there are no specific details provided in the changelog, the update seems a relatively big one weighing 36.53 megabytes. There could be performance updates intended for Motion Photo, Face Retouching and ZSL mode (zero shutter lag). Download the Google Camera update via APK Mirror.
Meanwhile, minor bug fixes and stability improvements have been rolled out to Google Duo, Google Maps, Google Canary, Google Plus, Google Play Movie & TV for Android TV, Google Play Movie & TV for Daydream and Google Play Movie & TV app. Google has also rolled out a couple of updates on related services and peripherals.
