A man in New York reportedly went on molesting a woman on the subway at around 9:00 am on Thursday, October 24, 2017, without realising that she was a plainclothes police officer.
Felipe Mondragon, 52 repeatedly rubbed his genitals against the woman on the subway and went on assaulting her on the uptown 6 train that had just left Union Square station, situated in New York City.
Unfortunately, things didn't go that well with Mondragon. The woman turned out to be a New York Police Department (NYPD) officer. The officer was on the train with her partner and a sergeant who was also dressed in plain clothes.
Cases of molestation on public transport is not something uncommon. Accusations on Harvey Weinstein for allegedly molesting top-ranked Hollywood actresses have already created a huge uproar. With people speaking up on social media, coming forward with their share of the insult on Twitter and Facebook with #MeToo campaign, the topic which so long was buried, is now doing the rounds. Men, women everyone is coming forward and bravely speaking about it.
The accused in this case was arrested and dragged down the train at 23rd Street station. Mondragon has been charged with forcible touching and assault along with molestation. The NYPD officer was a part of NYPD's Transit Bureau's Anti-Crime Squad which patrols trains in the subway. Officers who are a part of this operation remain in plainclothes to monitor and prevent crimes up and down the line.
