Charles Manson, the notorious leader of the Manson family cult who proclaimed himself as the devil died on Sunday night in a Kern County Hospital, aged 83. Known for his evil deeds, Manson was the prime accused of the murder of actress Sharon Tate and six others in 1969.

A spokeswoman for the California Department of Corrections confirmed the news of Manson's death and made it clear that he took the last breath of natural cause at 08.13 PM. "Inmate Charles Manson, 83, died of natural causes at 8:13 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at a Kern County hospital," read the statement issued by the California Department of Corrections.

Debra Tate, sister of Sharon Tate too confirmed the news and said that she received a call at about 8.30 PM informing his death. According to reports, the prison is contacting all of the victim's families to inform the death of the 'devil' who took the life of their dear ones.

"One could say I've forgiven them, which is quite different then forgetting what they are capable of. It is, for this reason, I fight so hard to make sure that each of these individuals stays in prison until the end of their natural days," told Debra Tate to NBC News.

Soon after the death of Charles Manson, Michele Hanisee, president of the Association of Deputy District Attorneys for Los Angeles County said that November 19 should be the date on which Manson's victims should be remembered. It should be noted that Charles Manson is one of the most notorious figures in the American crime history, and he was once called 'the most dangerous man alive' by the Rolling Stone Magazine.

After his arrest in December 1969, Manson was rewarded death sentence in 1971. But soon, the death penalty was ruled unconstitutional, and then he was rewarded nine life sentences in a row.
