Actor Yoo Seung-ho talked about filming his new television drama 'I am Not a Robot.' He also revealed how much he loved working with actress Chae Soo-bin as her romantic partner and said he missed her when he didn't have scenes with her.
As noted by website Soompi, Yoo Seung-ho attended a press conference for the MBC drama on December 4. Also in attendance were Chae Soo-bin, Uhm Ki-joon, Kang Ki-young, Hwang Seung-eon, Park Se-wan and producing director Jung Dae-yoon. The story is about a man who doesn't like to mingle with humans. He ends up falling for a woman who pretends to be a robot.

Talking about acting with his on-screen partner Chae Soo-bin, Yoo Seung-ho said, "I'd heard that when you're in a melodrama, it helps if you truly care about your acting partner when you're playing out scenes, and I think that's true. In scenes when I'm interacting with her, I feel more at ease and when I have to film by myself, I feel her absence. She's been a big help to me."
As per Seung-ho, it seems viewers can expect a natural chemistry between the lead characters when the drama airs. One just needs to hear Chae Soo-bin's account of her experience working with Yoo Seung-ho to know how she feels about her co-star.
'I am Not a Robot' also happens to be Yoo Seung-ho's first ever romantic comedy. The actor said it took some time getting used to such a character, given that his past roles were quite different. "I did find working on this drama difficult. Till now, I've usually played roles that are dark and have a hidden past, so I feel more accustomed to those kinds of characters. It was hard for me to get into the mindset of the lead of a melodrama, so it's been an interesting experience," he said.
However, the actor who previously starred in MBC's historical melodrama 'The Emperor: Owner of the Mask' in the lead role, said, "Though I was initially very scared about my first romantic comedy, I was drawn to my character, who is serious but also a little odd. I'm enjoying the filming process."
The first episode of 'I am Not a Robot' will air on December 6 at 10 p.m. KST on MBC. It will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays with two 35 minutes episodes per day.
