According to Hollywood Reporter, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds is 'Gotta' catch pokemons in the movie 'Detective Pikachu'. The 41-year-old actor will be giving voice over to the lead role of 'Detective Pikachu' alongside 'Jurrasic World' star Justice Smith and 'Big Little Lies' actress Kathryn Newton.
The fans of Ryan Reynolds are going bonkers to see the other side of the Deadpool actor on screen. The Deadpool's sequel is all set to hit the screens on June 1, 2018.
'Detective Pikachu', whose shooting is to start from mid of January in London, will be directed by 'Goosebumps' director Rob Letterman. The movie will be based on the video game with the same name that was released in Japan in 2016.In this video game, the player will try to solve mysteries accompanied by Pikachu - the mascot of the franchise.
The story of 'Detective Pikachu' revolves around the disappearance of the father of Tim Goodman (Justice Smith) and Pikachu, along with the teenagers' team and sassy journalist Newton, will investigate the matter. While Pokemon Company's trusted collaborator, Toho will be handling the film's distribution in Japan, Universal Pictures has obtained distribution rights for the movie outside the country.
