It seems that there is no dearth of reasons for BTS fans to rejoice. The boy group's hit number "DNA" has been listed on Billboard's 100 Best Songs of 2017. The colourful and vibrant "DNA MV" grabbed 20 million hits on Youtube within few hours of release, the fastest by any Kpop single. So far the video has more than 195 million hits on the video sharing platform. The title track and its visuals have been appreciated by fans and critics alike for the vibrant and youthful theme.
BTS' DNA grabbed the 49th spot and was the only Kpop song to be listed on the chart. In its description, Billboard wrote, "The Korean-language lead single is a rich concoction of soft rock and brain-burrowing EDM-pop. The lyrical theme of interconnectedness is meaningful -- "DNA" was one of those rare instances when a K-pop act's transmutation of their American influences was reflected back at the U.S. in full Technicolor."
Selena Gomez's "Bad Liar" was the list topper followed by Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow," Calvin Harris feat. Frank Ocean & Migos' "Slide," Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber's "Despacito" (Remix), and Lil Uzi Vert's "XO TOUR Llif3"
