Bae Suzy (born Bae Su-ji) is by all accounts going to be a first-time mother as ascertained by her Instagram post. The Instagram post saw the songstress at the hospital, on the doctor's table-- placing her right hand on her enlarged belly carrying her child with her lips blowing a gentle kiss.
Suzy who is currently experiencing a career-high with her Korean action film 'Ashfall' aka 'Mount Pekatu' garnering nearly 5 million viewers, making it one of the most successful cinematic ventures to come out of Asia.
Twitter claims she is pregnant
A user named 4815 Haeri_Go confirmed the pregnancy posting the picture of Suzy looking down at her stomach captioning it "This is not a drill...She really is Pregnant. For those who are asking about the baby daddy,=Jo In Chang is the father(He is the captain of a special forces team in the military)." Other responses on Twitter were of happiness and surprise at the sudden turn of events as for many of her fans it feels like only yesterday the actress was having relationship problems.
The post also confirmed the identity of the father as Jo In Chang, who plays the role of a captain of the special military forces in South Korea in the movie starring Suzy Bae titled 'Ashfall'. He is tasked to take part in an operation that holds the fates of South and North Korea in the balance. Jo In-Chang gets in touch with Lee Joon-pyeong who is part of the Ministry of People's Armed Forces of North Korea. Meanwhile, Suzy Bae's character is alone and pregnant in Seoul struggling to survive the disaster.
Relationships and Career thus far
That post all but confirmed the happy news that the actress was truly expecting a child in real life and the post was not part of the marketing campaign to promote her film. The actress who started her acting career with 2012's 'Architecture 101' and was part of the popular girl group 'miss A' under JYP Entertainment has had a tumultuous run in her personal relationship, until now.
The actress has been in several publicized relationships, namely actors Lee Min-ho and Dong-Wook Lee. With Lee Min-ho the relationship lasted from 2015 to 2017. The apparent reasons for the split are two- first was Lee Min-ho divulging his plan to propose to Bae Suzy that came out right before their breakup. Regardless their love story was adorned by the media and charmed fans.
The second reason was, of course, Lee Min-ho entering the military service in 2017, claiming to do it out of love for the people he wants to protect- which made Suzy Bae uncomfortable. After the relationship with Lee Min-ho ended in 2017, in early 2018 reports of the actress dating Dong-Wook Lee was confirmed by both their agencies claiming that they had just starting dating and they were only getting to know each other, ending any possibility of her reuniting with her former flame.
Dong-Wook Lee who acted in the Korean drama 'Goblin' started his relationship with the actress apparently through a private meeting that worked more as a senior-junior relationship due to their difference in age. However, all the charm in the world could not save their relationship with the pair breaking up in July of 2018.
All this seems to be in the past for the actress who is now an expecting mother with all the positive support that she can get via the internet.
