The remake of the very first youth sitcom of Korea, Three Men, Three Women is on its way. MBC is planning to shoot the remake and has named it Unusual Men and Women.
The popular 90s sitcom Three Men, Three Women included comedian Shin Dong-yup and actors Song Seung-heon and Woo Hee-jin, who acted in the 157-episode series that was aired from 1996 to 1999.
"Now, it's been confirmed that Kim Jung-hoon (Start Again), Park Han-byul (I Have a Lover), Park Jin-joo (1% of Anything), and T-ara's Hyo-min (The Thousandth Man) will appear in MBC's remake series," says dramabeans.
Without revealing much, on November 28, Kim Jung-hoon 's agency, Mars Ents, stated: "Kim Jung Hoon will be joining the cast of 'Unusual Men and Women' directed by director Kim Sung Duk"
In the remake of the 90s sitcom, "Kim Jung Hoon will be portraying the owner of a share house. This new sitcom will be about three men and three women who live in the same house," according to the production staff.
Adding details to the role, dramabeans reported: "Kim Jung-hoon will play the handsome son of a wealthy family. On paper, he's perfect marriage material, but he's actually never been in a romantic relationship"
The beautiful golf instructor at a gym will be played by Park Han-byul, whose flawless beauty and a chilled attitude make everyone a fan of hers. Park Jin-joo, who has got immense love from the viewers for her performances on King of Masked Singer and I Live Alone, will be playing a bright and bubbly character in the show.
Since it is a remake, it is trying to make a lasting impression. Reportedly, the cast is customizing their roles to fit their actual personalities.
According to the reports, it is expected that the Unusual Men and Women will be premiered sometime during the first half of next year and production will be starting in this month itself.
