British pop singer Adele has finally admitted that she has tied the knot with her long-time beau Simon Konecki. According to E! News, Adele announced the wedding news during a concert in Brisbane, Australia.
During the Grammy Awards 2017, the Hello singer mentioned Konecki as her 'husband' in the acceptance speech, sparking rumors about her marriage. The speculations became strong when the singer and Konecki were spotted wearing their alleged wedding rings.
The popular couple met in 2011, and in January 2012, Adele first mentioned to be in a relationship in a "deleted post on her blog," according to People.
Konecki is reportedly 13 years older than the British pop sensation and at the age of 17, started working at Lehman Brothers. By the age of 24, he became the "power player" with the firm. In 2005, he quit Lehman Brothers and started his "eco-friendly" bottled water company, Life, and drop4drop- its charity.
Adele said at the Brisbane concert: "I was trying to remember how it was I felt at the beginning of the relationship that inspired that record, because as bad as a break up can be, as bitter and horrible and messy as it can be, that feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth and I am addicted to that feeling,"
She further added: "Obviously I can't go through with those feelings because I'm married now. I've found my next person."
Adele has had always good things to say about Konecki throughout their five-year relationship. In 2015, Adele in a 60 Minutes Australia interview said: "Being in such an amazing relationship with someone that's so there for me and so loyal and is really part of my core now."
Adele also mentioned: "That's what made me write about everything I've ever done, because I've got his love."
The couple have a 4-year-old son Angelo together.
