The popular JTBC hit drama Age of Youth is in the works for season 2 and reportedly it is being announced that there will some changes in the cast in the upcoming sequel. According to the reports, a new character will be introduced in the house and Ryu Hwa-young, who played Kang Unni in the first season, will be returning in the sequel but only for a special appearance.
The popular drama was about the friendship of five college roommates at the Belle Epoque house. The cast of the drama include Han Ye-ri who is the most hardworking one, Park Eun-bin, Han Seung-yeon and freshman Park Hye-soo. Reportedly, all four actresses will reprise their roles for the second season, though the deals have not been confirmed yet. Writer Park Yeon-seon aa well as PD Lee Tae-gon will be staying as well. Only, Ryu Hwa-young will allegedly be present in one or two episodes
According to dramabeans, PD Lee Tae-gon stated, "There are characters whose stories were completed in Season 1 and characters who still have more story left to tell, and in Ryu Hwa-young's case, her story is nearly over so it will be difficult to tell more of it in Season 2."
He also added saying, "There will probably be about one or two episodes in which she has storylines, but she won't have a story that continues on for all twelve episodes." In her place, the Belle Epoque girls will be getting a new roommate, though for now there are no details regarding the new character.
Age of Youth Season 2 is tentatively scheduled to be back on an August broadcast on JTBC.
