Bayern Munich's dismal preseason continued as they slumped to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Jürgen Klopp's rampant Liverpool side at the Allianz Arena in front of their home crowd in the Audi Cup.

Carlo Ancelotti, Bayern's Italian manager was visibly disappointed after the game and admitted that his side were quite far from being match fit. Speaking in the post-match press conference, he said he was worried by Bayern Munich's preseason form and demanded his underperforming side "change attitude and spirit", having seen his side lose to both Milanese clubs on their 12-day summer tour of South East Asia and also succumbed to Arsenal in a penalty shootout. Their only success came against Premier League champions Chelsea, which they won 3-2.

Speaking after the game, he said: "Of course, we are worried,"

"These are hard games, but we knew that we are not in the best condition now. This is normal -- we came back from China two days ago. We will surely be in better condition on Saturday. I also have to say we have to change our attitude and spirit.

Praising his opponents, he said: "Liverpool are already in good shape - they play in their domestic league and Champions League qualifiers soon and they counter-attacked us well. We conceded goals that we would normally avoid. We're not at our best yet."

"Liverpool played really well on the counter-attack but we didn't have any balance. We didn't play well both offensively and defensively and didn't have many opportunities to score goals."

Despite another defeat and losing key players due to injuries, Ancelotti said he wasn't looking to add to his squad in the transfer window.

"There will be no signings. I'm really happy with my players," he said.

Ancelotti reiterated that his sole focus remains Bayern's opening Bundesliga fixture against Bayer Leverkusen that takes place on the 18th of August.

He said: "Our goal is to be in the best condition for Aug. 18 against Leverkusen. Of course we have to play an important game on Saturday (the DFL Super Cup against Dortmund), but sometimes if you are not in good condition you have to use a good attitude and spirit which we didn't do tonight."
