Overview
Arsene Wenger helped Arsenal to secure their first win of the 2016/17 season when they registered a 3-1 victory ove Watford before the international break. The Gunners star trio of Santi Cazorla, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil were on the scoresheet.
The north London club suffered a defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the opening fixture and were forced to settle for a goalless draw against Leicester City in the second match. Summer signings Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez could make their Arsenal debut this weekend.
Meanwhile, Southampton have settled for a draw against Watford and Sunderland, while the other fixure ended in a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Saints will be looking for their first win of the new campaign.
