Bae Doona might make a comeback in the world of Korean drama. The actress is in talks with the broadcasting channel, and if things go well, the 36-year-old will be the leading lady of the mystery thriller OCN drama, tentatively titled, The Voice.
On September 19, Doona's agency, SBD Entertainment, released an official note dishing out details over the actress's most anticipated comeback. The note stated that the Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance actress is giving a positive look into the project: "She has received an offer for 'The Voice,' and she is currently examining the project. However, it has not yet been decided whether or not she will be appearing in the drama. She has received offers for lots of projects. She will most likely make a decision after reviewing the project as well as discussing it with the production team." Bae Doona was last seen in the Korean drama, Gloria in 2010.
On the other side, the broadcasting channel, OCN, also confirmed on roping in the Seoul born actress for their thriller project which is scheduled for next year. The staffer told Soompi: "It's true that an offer went to Bae Doona. Right now we're coordinating the actors and their appearances." When asked about the release date of the series, OCN replied, "It is not yet fixed. If it is not the end of the year, it might be the beginning of next year. We are currently still considering. Once we figure out the broadcast date and the casting outline, then we will be able to start production."
Meanwhile, South Korean actress and photographer, who is best known for her critically acclaimed roles, is currently seen in American series, Sense 8. The science fiction series, which tells the story of eight strangers being telepathically connected, began streaming on Netflix in 2015.
