Amber Heard divorced the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor, Jhonny Depp recently and tried to move on with her life and career. But, a whole new set of challenges came up in front of the actress who decided not to keep her sexual orientation in the closet. Her conscious decision is possibly hampering her career. Heard recently revealed the consequences of living openly as a bisexual actress.
According Entertainment Tonight reports, Heard was warned and was advised not to reveal her bisexuality as her Hollywood successes might get limited by her non-straight orientation. However, Heard preferred the other way round and decided to live openly as a bisexual actress, but she now accepts that life in Hollywood became much more difficult for her.
"It did impact my career, it was difficult," Amber said as cited by inquisitor.
"It was not easy. I was the only one working in this way, so it was definitely difficult because no one had done it. I did that even though everyone told me it would end my career, without a doubt," the "The Danish Girl" actress added. Reportedly, the directors doubted her ability to play straight woman, especially the intimate scenes with the leading male actors.
Heard wasn't discouraged. In fact, she says she took it as a challenge to sway the minds of those directors with her acting talents.
Even before Jhonny Depp, the actress dated Tasya van Ree, but the actress said that relationship was not known by the media because no one asked about it as such. Things came in front and changed the scenario after Ree and Heard broke up and she lamented publicly, sharing that the breakup "definitely was a big deal" to her.
Soon the actress was cited be lesbian, pushing her into a category which was not accurate at all.
