There's no stopping Korean boy band BTS from being the No. 1 most talked about male idol group in Korea. For the ninth straight month, BTS topped the brand reputation ranking for boy bands done by the Korea Institute for Corporate Reputation, which analyzed 103.66 million pieces of big data from June 7 to July 8.
In July, BTS got a brand reputation score of 11.15 million, lower by 16.65 percent compared to their June score of 13.38 million but enough to top the ranking.
The total consisted of 2.42 million in participation index; 874,152 in media index; 2.52 million in communication; and 5.33 million in community index.
Placing second is EXO, which jumped from third place, with a score of 10.12 million, an increase of 52.29 percent compared to their June score of 6.64 million. The increase is attributed to their impending comeback with a new album that will be released this month.
Seventeen placed third with 8.83 million, rising by 7.45 percent from their June index of 8.22 million, which placed them in second place last month.
Fourth place is veteran boy band Sech Skies with a score of 8.4 million followed by Highlight (formerly BEAST) with 8.33 million, fifth place; SHINee, 7.83 million, sixth place; NCT, 6.98 million, seventh place; FT Island, 5.59 million, eight place; VIXX, 4.64 million, ninth place; and ASTRO, 4.58 million, tenth place.
