Boy band BTS dislodged Wanna One from the top to conquer the first position of the most talked about Korean singer in October.
The Korea Institute for Corporate Reputation released the brand reputation rankings for 50 singers based on an analysis of 120.97 million pieces of big data from September 6 to October 7, an increase of 4.09 percent from 116.22 million in August.
It ranked the singers based on media, participation, interaction and community values.
BTS got a total score of 12.42 million, rising by 79.7 percent compared to their second-place score of 6.91 million in August.
The boy band has generated a lot of buzz since releasing the album "Love Yourself: Her" on September 18. The album and its lead single "DNA" have broken all Korean music records on Billboard, iTunes, Spotify and YouTube.
Rookie boy band Wanna One placed second with 12.22 million, a decrease by 30 percent when compared to their first-place score of 17.65 million in August.
Female solo artist IU grabbed the third place with 7.35 million, rising from fifth place in August and increasing her score from 5.77 million.
G-Friend is listed twice in the rankings. It came in fourth with 6.77 million and 12th place with 2.83 million. EXO placed fifth with 6.74 million, one rank down from August.
