Call of Duty: WWII reboot officially confirmed, worldwide release details teased

Activision is finally going back to its roots with the announcement of Call of Duty: WWII reboot, following the dismal show of its last creation in the sci-fi futuristic game, 'Infinite Warfare'. In all likelihood, the forthcoming instalment in the COD franchise will be a reboot of the original game that gave the priceless experience of fighting a war on the global stage.

We have been through the set pieces detailing the British, American and Soviet versions of the World War 2 since 2003, followed by the massive advancements into the age of modern warfare which really did not vibe well with the die-hard fans of the COD franchise.

The decade-old history could be repeated again with COD: WWII, albeit with new plots, storylines and battle set-pieces. Activision has intently left very scant details of its upcoming title with a mysterious promotional image.

The game will be developed by Sledgehammer Games of Dead Space fame and its worldwide reveal is set for 26 April as depicted in the teaser image (above). More details about the game will be revealed during the COD: WWII Worldwide Reveal Livestream on coming Wednesday.
