Chris Evans who is popularly known for his superhero role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will reportedly be retiring from his role as one of the leaders of the Avengers, Captain America. According to the Inquirer, the actor signed the contract with Marvel for only six movies for his role.
Chris Evans has already been a part of the first four movies in MCU and the rest of the two movies include Avengers: Infinity War part one and two. Reportedly, Evans will retire after the contract is over in order to explore other options.
The good news for the fans is Chris Evans is confirmed to star in a new action spy drama known as Red Sea Diving Resort.
He will reportedly be playing the role of an Israeli agent known as Ari Kidron. According to the reports, the drama will be directed by Gideon Raff, who is known for his famous projects such as, Prisoners of War and also Tyrant.
The upcoming spy drama Red Sea Diving Resort starring Evans will be set in Sudan and is set in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The story of the said drama revolves around Kidron, his and his teams effort to rescue and bring home the Ethiopian Jews trapped in Sudan.
Red Sea Diving Resort will be produced by Alexandra Milchan and written by Gideon Raff. According to Variety, apart from Chris Evans, the Girl on the Train actress Haley Bennett may also star in the project.
Evans retirement issue is unofficial until the contract ends, and the actor may also end up changing his mind. Till then, the Captain America fans can wait for Avengers: Infinity War which is all set to release on 2018 and 2019.
