The fans of Marvel's Captain America were shocked to know Chris Evans separated from Jenny Slate earlier this year, but according to ABC News reports, the split hasn't resulted in a rift between the two stars. In fact, both of them are in good terms, and worked together on Gifted.
In a recent interview, Evans spoke about his former girlfriend, and he had only kind words for his former lover.
"She's my favourite human," Evans said of Ms. Slate, adding, "She's the best."
Jenny Slate may be a wonderful actress and comedian but reportedly her first love is writing. Though her writing ambitions are still largely unacknowledged, Chris Evans is outspoken fan of her writings.
"I've never ever ever met someone in my life who has a mastery of the English language the way she does," says Evans boasting about Slate's writing skills.
"She'll give you one sentence and there's no fat to it. You're like, 'You just chose such an unbelievable collection of words that beautifully articulate what you say.'"
In previous interviews, the Gifted actress has been equally proud of Evans and has been really supportive of him. The actress doesn't shy away from saying her ex-boyfriend is a very kind man and almost flawless. Slate also said that watching how kind and compassionate he is at times is heartbreaking.
"I don't mind talking about him at all," added Slate. "He's a lovely person."
His kind gestures became very evident when he took some time out from his busy schedule and teamed up with his Gifted co-star to spend some time with the patients of Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the visit of the two stars on Friday helped the hospital to manage a successful, month long fundraiser.
Evans and Mckenna Grace treated the patients and the staffs to an advanced screening of Gifted which was presented and gifted by Evans, while Ms. Grace gave out homemade bracelets to the patients.
