Chris Pratt and Anna Faris were one of the most envied couples Hollywood has ever witnessed. But now, the duo has decided to separate officially, after they announced the news of their breakup last August. As per latest updates, Pratt has filed for divorce from Faris on December 01.
'People' reported that the 'Jurassic World' actor has filed legal documents to end his 8-year marital relationship citing irreconcilable differences. As per the legal filing, Chris Pratt has also requested for joint custody of their five-year-old son Jack.
According to the documents submitted, the couple revealed that they broke up on July 13, 2017, a month prior to when they publicly announced they were separating.
Anna Faris and Chris Pratt met each other in 2007 during the shooting of 'Take Me Home Tonight'. Soon, the celebrity duo fell in love, and later got married in 2009. They gave birth to their one and only son Jack in August 2012.
In the joint statement issued on August 06, the ex-celebrity couple said that they tried hard for a long time to rebuild their relationship, but all these efforts went in vain. The statement also added that they still love each other, and will share the deepest respect in the future too.
"Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another," read the statement.
Anna Faris is now reportedly dating renowned cinematographer Michael Barrett. Recently, the duo was seen spending their vacation time in Venice, Italy.
