Descendants of the Sun star Song Joong-Ki is under the scanner for one of his well attended fan events -- the 2016 Song Joong Ki Asia Tour Fan Meeting.
The Hallyu star, who mesmerized fans in a series of fan meets after his military drama ended with the highest ratings in history, is however embroiled in the tiff between Hong Kong-based event organizers and the entertainment company.
As per an Allkpop report, the fan meet contractor has apparently sued Hong Kong-based event organizers for not paying the company its dues of $1.2 million. The payment is said to be the total proceedings of Joong Ki's fan event held in the span of three months.
However, the management agency of the 31-year-old star has tagged the incident a result of misunderstanding. Blossom Entertainment revealed that the companies have already settled their accounts and there are no dues in process: "This is unrelated to our company, but when we looked into the news from Hong Kong, it seemed as if there was a misunderstanding," Blossom said.
"The Asia Tour fan meetings were participated by many companies from Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong. The Hong Kong promotion company changed their company name and miscommunications occurred. Fan meeting payments have already been paid off, and we were told that the lawsuit would be dropped sometime today," Blossom added.
