The controversies surrounding the SBS variety show Running Man has been difficult for all. Reports of Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook being forced out of the show and the sudden announcement of ending the show completely were difficult for everyone who were involved with the show.
And maybe it has affected the cast member Song Ji Hyo the most. As Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook were all set to be involuntarily removed after being seven years in the popular variety show.
Saddest part is that they had no idea about their exit. It is through the media that they got to know about their departure. Though later the show runners apologized to them for hurting their feelings.
Undoubtedly, fans and the cast members were definitely hurt as the news broke out but perhaps it affected Song Ji Hyo the most. Song Ji Hyo was devastated when she got the news. In an interview with OSEN, her label revealed how deeply hurt she was with all that happened.
Her label said, "The members loved 'Running Man' a lot, and they were like family for the past 7 years. She was hurt deeply by what happened."
The label further said: "After she heard she would be leaving, she had a really hard time. She cut off all communications and just cried her eyes out."
It was known that the second season would launch in January but the process drew a lot of criticisms and the producers decided to end the show completely by February. However, it is announced that Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook will be coming back for the final show.
All of it was disheartening for Song Ji Hyo. After being in the show for so long, the news of her exit came as a big shock specially because she got no heads up from the producers, there was no discussion and she got to know the details from the media. She only decided to come back to Running Man because of the other members of the show who all are like a family to her.
