Korean actress Song Hye Kyo looked radiant in her wedding dress when she got married to fellow actor Song Joong-ki on October 31 at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul.
It became known that the wedding dress was designed and made by couture label Christian Dior, which posted on Instagram how it painstakingly made the gown.
Christian Dior posted a photo of the gown's design made exclusively by the fashion house' artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri.
"Take a look at the making of an haute couture creation, here with the sketch for Song Hye Kyo's sigh-inducing wedding dress, exclusively designed by our Artistic Director #MariaGraziaChiuri. #DiorSavoirFaire," Dior posted on Instagram.
It added that Dior's artisans spent numerous hours for stitching and other works to make the dress perfect for Song Hye Kyo.
"At Dior, our petites mains dedicated an almost unimaginable number of hours laboring over everything from the tiniest stitch and up in order to produce Song Hye Kyo's immaculate wedding dress specially designed by #MariaGraziaChiuri," it said.
It added, "If you can imagine it, they can make it. Such was the case for Korean actress Song Hye Kyo's exquisite wedding dress. Following a design by #MariaGraziaChiuri, the petites mains in our famed haute couture atelier flou set about exercising all their extraordinary skill and meticulous attention to detail to whip up a sweeping silk gown of which dreams are made! Congratulations to Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki!"
Groom Song Joong-ki also wore a Christian Dior tuxedo that perfectly matched Song Hye Kyo's exquisite wedding dress.
The wedding was a private affair with no media allowed, but Chinese media outlets were able to illegally film the event and even streamed it live on the microblogging site Weibo.
Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi denied that she and her husband knew about it beforehand but apologized to the SongSong couple.
