Christian Pulisic, the American professional soccer player has clinched the United States Soccer Federation's Male Player of the Year award on 14 December, Thursday.
The 19-year-old Pulisic became the youngest winner of the award after winning 94 percent of the votes. Earlier, former footballer Landon Donovan had been the youngest winner, earning the honour at 21 in 2003.
Even though the US men's team was knocked out by Trinidad and Tobago in the Russia World Cup qualifiers, Pulisic was impressive in the competitions, scoring six goals and dishing out four assists in nine games for the national team this year.
The attacking midfielder was also involved in 13 of the 17 American goals in games he played.
In his first full season with Bundesliga club Dortmund last season, he claimed three goals and three assists in 25 matches.
